No matter what you decide the theme is going to be you should make a note on your invitations of what attire is appropriate. That way everyone will know whether it is formal or casual.

It is a good idea to enlist friends and families to help out with your engagement party. This makes it less stressful for you and easier for you to have time to mingle with your guests. You want to be organized to make sure that everybody knows exactly what they should be doing. This way you will be able to relax and enjoy yourself.

Your engagement party is also the perfect place to ask the people that you are going to have as your maid of honor and best man if they would like to be a part of your special day. This is a perfect time when everyone is together and will make the party even more special.
