After months of not so subtle hints, I finally got a proposal out of my boyfriend! We had been together for five years before he finally popped the question. Now is the time to start planning and dress shopping! I had decided since a little girl that I wanted an unconventional wedding, preferably outside; fortunately I had the funds to make this happen.

As plans rolled into action it became apparent that having an outdoor wedding would create more problems than I had anticipated, the most pressing being the toilet facilities. My fiancée was pressing me to give up my dreams and have a conventional indoor wedding. Unfortunately being as suborn as I am I wasn’t going to be swayed that easily.

The dress I found was beautiful, the registrar had agreed to my outdoor theme, the beautiful marquee was hired and the venue booked, everything was working out just as I had planned; except this stupid toilet situation. As much as I wanted my wedding I couldn’t leave my guests without proper facilities for the whole day, especially after the champagne starts flowing. The day was starting to look like a disaster, and it slowly dawned on me that maybe, just maybe I may have to give up my outside wedding for an easier option.

My fiancée started teasing me that we were going to have to get those builders porta loos, that’s when I had an idea. It would have to be porta loos, but someone somewhere must do some sort of high end facilities for events like this. Fortunately one of my colleagues knew of a business that did just that, as she had used them at a big event she held for charity last year. They were well ventilated, immaculately decorated and just like the toilets that you would expect to find at a hotel. They came in all different sizes and they even had a disabled toilet!

Finally my day was saved! So I phoned them up and the representative gave me a reasonable quote for hire of the portable toilet for the day, they said that a wedding was fine as they can cater for up to 5,000 people! As the wedding day drew closer and closer my excitement was reaching fever pitch and I was so relived that I was getting what I wanted, the little girl inside of me was pleased her wishes were slowly becoming reality.

The day was just as perfect as I hoped, all of my guests surrounded by amazing views, my perfect dress, surrounded by my family and finally marrying the perfect man. It’s so important for a day like that to be everything you have always wished for because in theory you’re only going to have one, so you only have one chance to get it right. You don’t want to live the rest of your life thinking that the day was ok, or so so. Thankfully because of these portable toilets saving the day I will always look back and be glad that I held out on what I wanted, because it made me cherish the day even more.
