The history of acai berry is an interesting one that you should learn to better understand what it can bring to your life. The berry has been eaten in Brazil for many years. In recent years, the berry was discovered by the rest of the world and found to contain the most concentrated amounts of antioxidants than any other food. This instantly created a lot of excitement in the nutrition world over the possibility of this amazing food.

The berry was further analyzed and found to contain fiber and essential fatty acids as well as antioxidants, putting it in the superfood category. This amazing little berry has been a staple in Brazilian food for years and for all of this time, the berry has been well known in that area as an amazing health food. Once the rest of the world found out how effective the little berry was for its health benefits, it quickly took off in the diet market.

The acai berry is an extremely perishable fruit and must be freeze dried immediately after harvest so that it can be shipped all over the world. Look for this information on the product that you are considering for your own diet plans. The product should contain pure freeze dried and powered acai berry to give you all of the positive benefits.

The discovery of the acai berry has created some hype as well on the diet market. In Brazil, you can find it in desserts, beverages and served as a special treat in ice cream and frozen treats.

It is the superfood that it has been touted as in the medical community. Including it in your diet in supplement form can provide you with all of these health benefits.
