With everything going on in the economy, my husband and I decided we needed to look for a way to earn additional income. I am a stay at home mom and he works from home so we wanted something that would fit with our laid back, relaxed lifestyle. We began doing some research online and quickly realized there are 3 things we needed to look for.

Step 1: Only look for online business opportunities.

Although there are many home business opportunities, an online business is the only kind that offers automated income. In other words, an online business gives you the ability to set up your business and then let the business make money for you, 24/7, even while you sleep. You want your money to work hard for you and not the other way around. So I would definitely suggest you start by looking at online businesses only.

Step 2: Beware of Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) Programs and do NOT join them!

Any system that relies on your selling to friends and family is limiting your income potential. Plus, you don’t want people to dodge you because they’re afraid you’re going to try to sell them something! There’s just no need for that. The internet is a mind-boggling resource for people looking for answers. There are tons of ways to advertise online (for free!) to attract people to your business. With an online business, you won’t have to worry about coming up with your own list of “potential buyers” and you can target your market very effectively. It is also very easy to "track" your marketing efforts with an online business. By knowing what's working and what isn't, you'll be able to tell what's making money and what isn't. That's HUGE.

Step 3: Do not waste your time and try to “reinvent the wheel”.

There are plenty of online businesses that are already established. There is no need for you to try to start your own when you can learn from the “Pros”. By joining an affiliate program, you will be able to generate results quickly, without making costly mistakes. If you join an established system that is proven to work, you’ll be fast tracking your success. This will save you time and money and get results faster than if you tried to figure everything out on your own. The biggest hurdle here is overcoming skeptism. We felt it and I'm sure you do too. There are SO MANY affiliate programs to choose from and you just have to see which one grabs your attention and go for it. We're living proof that being an affiliate with a PROVEN system really does work.

So be sure to consider these things carefully before making your decision. For us, it made no sense to get started with something that only paid us when we worked. That didn’t interest us at all once we discovered the beauty of an online business affiliate program. You can literally set everything up to be automated, let it do the work for you and wake up each morning to see how much money you earned while you slept! Now THAT is a great feeling. There’s just no point in gaining financial freedom if you aren’t also going to gain time freedom. You shouldn't have to trade one for the other and there really is a way to have both. We found it and we're confident you can too.
