When looking at the modern face of Dubai it is really easy to forget that once it was just a small fishing village. The tourists who want to experience a truly extraordinary vacation must consider to travel to Dubai. Dubai can offer one of the most luxurious vacations money can buy. But we have to consider that this kind of luxury comes at a very high price.

After deciding to visit the United Arab Emirates we must choose a mean how to reach our destination. Dubai can be reached via air, land and sea. We must choose the most suitable way to travel which meets our needs and financial abilities. If we decide to travel by airplane we will most likely arrive at Dubai International Airport which is the largest airport in the country. It has 3 terminals and meets the highest standards in every way. We must choose wisely an air company because the prices of the tickets may vary.

Via the mainland Dubai can be reached with a car or bus, and via water with ship or sailboats.

When we arrive and begin our Dubai vacation we must find a place to stay. Dubai has over 400 hotels so we can find many to choose from. The cheapest hotels are the two star hotels and the most expensive is the only seven star hotel in the world, the Burj al-Arab. We must be aware that the cheapest hotel in Dubai can be more expensive than the most expensive one in any other country.

Dubai has over 350 restaurants and clubs so the enjoyment in the nightlife is guaranteed. Although Dubai is the most liberal Muslim country in the region we must remember a few important facts. Alcohol is available only in the hotel bars or nightclubs, and we can consume alcohol only in these establishments. The other important thing is clothing. Women can not wear short skirts or too revealing tops because they will offend the local population. Also the men can walk bare chested only on the beach. Topless swimming and sunbathing is prohibited and so are the thongs too.

A Dubai vacation can offer a great deal of activities. We can go sightseeing, visit the beach, shop in the Duty Free shops tax free, enjoy the nightlife in the best bars, or take a trip to the desert for a great safari. If you decide to travel to Dubai you will not regret it, and you will have a great time. There is only one negative thing about a Dubai vacation and that is the price of such vacation. Only a few lucky ones can afford to travel to the United Arab Emirates and take part in a luxury holiday.
