Want to feel fire in ice, come to Ice Cave and Bandera Volcano where you get shining blue-green ice and another trail takes you to scenic Bandera Volcano. National Atomic Museum tells everything about atomic age etc. Guided tours are available by appointment only. It is open daily from 9am to 5 pm.

At least Bottomless Lakes State Park does have a bottom, actually there are seven small lakes bordering high red bluffs. All facilities related to lakes are available here. For the last 40 years Cliff's Amusement Park is an obligor to providing fun and entertainment to its guests with many thrilling games and rides for the whole family.

True to its name, Oasis State Park is set among cottonwood trees, moving sand dunes and a small lake ideal for fishing. It is an excellent place for bird watching in winter. Situated in red and yellow sandstone cliffs Villanueva State Park, lies adjacent to a river, making its location spectacular. Native trees and shrubs add more color to the landscape.

Picnic shelters here resemble Spanish Hamlets. Hikers here find some pre-historic Indian ruins. Mild climate at Elephant Butte Lake State Park makes it popular for every season camping. It is largest and most popular in New Mexico offering all water amenities.

Set in the heart of Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Morphy Lake State Park is hidden in a forest of pine trees. A three mile rough and jungle road with steep hike leads you to exact place. Privacy is found in abundance throughout this secluded park.

City of Rocks State Park is formed from ash of volcano; millions of years ago it got crafted naturally. Massive boulders of ash give it its name. A scenic lake set in pine trees, Heron Lake State Park is also known as "quite lake" as only slow boats are allowed. Go to a hiking trail along the majestic Rio Chama from the dramatic stairway near Heron Dam. It crosses the river by a suspension bridge, offering extensive views of surroundings.

Set on the rugged west slope of Little Florida Mountains, Rockhound State Park has lots of parts of silica. Scattered all across the park are rocks and mineral samples of a volcano
providing stunning views of the whole park.

The mountain peaks here offer breath-taking views, but beware, can cause difficulty in breathing. Cimarron Canyon State Park is a part of 33116 acres of Collin Neblett Wildlife Area offering a breath taking view of the entire area. You can also climb the rocks, but with a special permit from park authorities and take a beautiful hillside view.

In Blue Water State Park, a lake is surrounded by cascading hills studded with pinon and juniper trees making it a magnificent view and abundance of fish. Some good fishing spots are accessible by cars.

Set in a southern desert park, Brantley Lake State Park is a refreshing place for outdoor picnics and fishing. With wild areas around the lake, Santa Rosa Lake State Park is paradise for anglers and hikers. It also offers much kind of water sports.

Leasburg Dam State Park gets water from Rio Grande for irrigating Mesilla Valley Area. Adjacent to it is a museum depicting 19th century goods. Enclosed by a forest of spruce and pine, Coyote Creek State Park is full of wildflowers and foliage giving a fresh fragrance.

Great summer winds attract many to Storrie Lake State Park for sailing and wind-surfing with its visitor center exhibiting goods of the Santa Fe Trail and 19th century Las Vegas. This site has excellent waters in its lake.
