First, you need to be able to identify why your computer is freezing up. To do this, you must be able to isolate the problem and from there appropriate solutions can be implemented. Computer freezing up, though, has its roots on a corrupted registry. The registry is the heart of your computer where the data base of all information, settings, and files needed by the operating system to make your programs run are stored. If there is a file missing, or if the registry is too cluttered with so many junk files, then your computer is most likely than not to freeze up.

This is the reason it is necessary to keep the registry of your computer free from clutter and junk files and that errors are immediately corrected. When you are able to clean your registry and fix the errors, you will see that it resolves your computer freezing up as well as speeds up your computer significantly.

Another thing that can cause your computer to freeze up is that viruses and spyware programs are attacking your computer. Although you may be running an anti-virus program, this may many not cover comprehensive protection against malware programs. Be sure that you also have an anti-spyware program installed in your computer as most spyware programs love to attack and embed in your computer's registry.

There are various ways you can do to prevent your computer freezing up. The most important is to maintain your computer such as cleaning your registry, running your anti-malware software, defragmenting your disk, optimizing your browser among others. However, if you are not a computer geek or a techie person, it is advisable to secure a program that automatically maintains your computer as cleaning the registry manually for instance can end up with more problems than one in case you accidentally delete or mess your registry keys.

Your windows operating system also comes with handy tools that you can use to maintain your computer such as disk defragmentation. It is necessary to defragment your disk to keep the files organized so your computer doesn't work unusually harder. You can also optimize your browser from time to time especially when you are heavily access the internet. This will ensure that temporary files and junk files are cleared and you experience faster browsing times.

You can search the internet for some tools that are easy to use to maintain the good health condition of your computer. You have to make sure that you run these tools on a regular basis. Merely installing them may not be sufficient. To prevent computer freezing up, get the tools online such as your registry cleaner that will fix all your computer health problems.
