If you are in a situation where you need quick cash, payday loans are one of your best options. These are short-term loans that you can get fast. They will surely tide you over until your next payday. But do you know if you qualify for a payday loan? Do you know the requirements needed to avail of this type of loan? Many lending companies may have specific requirements that borrowers need to meet but the following are basic qualifications for all payday loans:

Regular Employment

When you apply for a payday loan, you will be required to pay it back when you receive your paycheck. Obviously, your loan application will not be approved if you are not employed. But lenders will not just approve an application from any employed person. Unfortunately, most lending companies will not grant payday loans to temporary employees. It is important that you have had your current employment for at least 2 months. Some companies will even require an employment history of at least 4 months.

You must also meet a minimum monthly income requirement. The average monthly income that most lenders look for is $1000. When you apply for a payday loan, you will be asked to show proof that you have regular employment and that you earn at least a thousand dollars or so every month.

Fill In All the Blanks

The blank spaces on the cash advance application form are there for a purpose - for you to fill up with the right information. The emphasis is, of course, on the right information as any significant deviations can cause your application to be rejected on the grounds of fraud. (Or some other similar reasons)

Admittedly, some lending companies will conduct little credit checks. Still, you must be as honest as possible with the information you provide especially when it comes to employer data.

Minimum Age

Lending companies are not allowed to grant loans to minors. So if you are under 18, you might have to think of other ways to get quick cash. If you are 18 or above, you will be qualified for a payday loan.

Active Checking Account

If you apply for a payday loan online, the money that you borrow will be sent to your checking account. Once approved, you will also be asked to pay by check. Some lending companies will ask that your checking account be at least 4 months old. They will also see if you don't have outstanding checks. The latter is important because they will want to make sure that you can pay back the amount that you borrowed.

Other Important Information

Of course, your name, address, phone number and other basic information will also be needed. Some lenders will even require that you have a working home AND office telephone numbers. This is because they might want to reach you in either your own residence or your place of employment. You must also have a valid ID or driver's license. Your credit status may not be checked but some lending agencies might also want to know if you have outstanding payday loans from other companies.
