Many say it is a waste of nature, others wonder why someone blessed with a naturally attractive chest would want to rid themselves of it, while other people wonder if it will have any lasting, irreversible effects. What most don't realize is that while a large chest may look attractive, it can actually be a large burden on a woman.

Women with a D cup or above often have a variety of difficulties in their day to day lives. Exercise is an issue, because sports bras don't prevent as much movement on people with DDs as they do on one's with Bs. Also, the jostling involved with any movement can be quite painful.

They also can experience fairly severe back pain. The pain associated with large breasts is usually pain in the shoulders, due to the extra weight that is being carried. The shoulders become strained and the muscles become tight.

There can be pain in the entire back as well, due to poor posture. Bra straps can cut in to the skin and leave sore spots and sometimes even bruising. Women can also experience problems with rashes under their breasts due to lack of proper air or less than diligent hygiene.

Of course not all women with large breasts experience these problems, but they do plague plenty of women. A good solution is a reduction surgery. A reduction surgery can eliminate many of the above mentioned problems. The procedure is best for people who are confident in their lives that are experiencing several of the symptoms above in combination.

The way the procedure is performed is that breast tissue is removed from the area in order to make a smaller, more aesthetically pleasing, less painful chest. There are risks, and those include loss of sensation, permanent scarring, possible asymmetry, and pain during the healing process.

This is a procedure that women should make with the advice of a board-certified plastic surgeon. It is not a decision to be made lightly, but if it is made in the right way, it can be a decision that positively impacts a woman forever.
