Patio covers are a great way to extend the life of your outdoor furniture. More and more people are making outdoor living spaces where they can relax and enjoy the landscape. Patio furniture and accessories can be expensive. You should invest in patio furniture covers to protect your investment.

Patio covers can be used in between use or when you are storing your patio furniture for the winter. There are many types and styles available. There are covers for tables, which come in different sizes. You can find covers to fit square, oval, rectangle and round tables. There are covers designed to protect your patio chairs and these also come in a variety of sizes.

There are also patio covers for BBQ grills that will help protect your grill from the elements. Other items that help protect outdoor furniture are cushion covers and umbrella covers. Patio covers don’t have to be plain they come in a variety of colors and designs to complement your outdoor living area.

Patio furniture covers also come in a variety of materials. High quality covers are double stitched to ensure that they will last for a long time. When patio covers were first available they were all made out of vinyl and were not as strong and durable as the ones made today. Today you can find outdoor patio furniture covers which are eco-friendly and a lot stronger than previous ones.

Patio covers are made to protect your furnishings, but if you use covers that are not properly vented to allow air flow you could end up with your damage to your pieces. Your furnishings will not be protected from mold and mildew buildup if the covers don’t allow proper air flow.

High quality covers are double stitched and are protected from harmful UV rays that can fade your coverings. You want to make sure that the patio furniture covers that you get will fit securely in place. The type that uses a strap and buckle system gives you dual protection from the wind and elements. Most of the highest quality products will have at least a one year manufacturer’s warranty.

You want to make sure that the material that the covers are made from will be sturdy and protect your furniture. The higher quality ones are made of denier polyester or have multiple layers of polypropylene. The material should also be treated for UV protection. To protect against rain you should make sure that the cover has a water resistant coating. You should also look for covers that have binding over the seams to prevent rain from getting inside the cover.

Patio furniture covers are easy to use. You want to make sure that the furniture you want to cover is free of moisture and dirt. To put on the cover you find the front of the cover and place it over the front of the piece of furniture. Once the cover is in place you need to make sure you pull it down and it is taut. Then you secure the cover in place. When you are ready to use the furniture just remove the covers and enjoy your outdoor living area.
