There is a 'secret' to earning money online that is known only to those who succeed in making a lot of money online.

So many people turn to the internet as a way to make money. Yet many fail and they can't understand why.

What is it that the successful people do online? What is their secret?

Their secret can be summed up in four letters:

W-O-R-K

That's it.

That's the big 'secret'.

There are too many lies told online these days about how easy it is to make money on the internet.

And it's not that it isn't easy. It's just hat the lies are told by this or that so-called internet "guru" who will tell you that the only REAL way to make online riches is to buy their overpriced product.

Or some will even offer you a "free" money-making web site that they will set up for you.

Then they get you to go out onto the internet and drive as many visitors as you can to that site. But what they don't tell you is that your "free" site is only designed to make THEM rich and not you. After all, why would anyone want to giveaway web sites that make lots of money?

There's an old saying; "There's no such thing as a free lunch." And on the internet it's true.

Nothing is really free.

But that's not to say that everyone offering something for free online has an unscrupulous motive for doing so. Not at all.

People give away things for free al the time for simple reasons, such as to get more visitors to their web site or to help advertise their latest product.

But none of this free stuff or the get-rich-quick products will make you wealthy.

The only way to really explode your online income is with good old-fashioned work.

You see most people believe – and the unscrupulous "gurus" on the internet will also try and make you believe – that if you want to make money online, all you have to do is set up a web site and people will start flocking to it and make you instantly rich.

But it just doesn't happen that way. Just because you build it, it doesn’t mean they will come.

You need to work on your online business to make it successful. Now that may sound tricky, but it's not.

The good news is that you don't have to work too hard. In fact you only have to spend a couple of hours a day on your web sites to make them extremely successful and financially rewarding.

But this will only work if you provide a really useful web site.

You see, people come to the internet looking for information or entertainment. And if your web site can provide what they're looking for then they'll stay awhile and you can make money.

Even if your web site is a small information site, you can earn money through Pay-Per-Click advertisements.

You just have to place ads on your site, such as Google AdSense ads, and every time someone clicks on an ad, you earn money, which can be anything from a few cents to several dollars per click.

Then once you've been working online for a while and you can see what works for your site and what doesn't, you can adjust what you do to fit the 80/20 rule. This means that 80% of your income should come from 20% of your work.

And that's the real secret to online success.

You can work less for more money.

And isn't that what you really want to do?
