A trade show can be public or trade only; that is it can be open to public or can be restricted the use of members of the trade as well as that of the press. A big trade show normally attracts companies from around the globe. Now many on line directories have been established to help companies, marketers and the organizers identify the appropriate events.

If you are thinking of setting up stalls in any of the numerous international, national or local trade shows, rest assured help is at hand. You will find many trade show displays and exhibit companies found on the principle of total support to their clients, who want to set up stalls at a trade fair, but do not know what to do.

Think of the time you yourself had gone on a shopping and felt little adventurous. You shunned your regular shops and wanted to test the unproven ground. You just went on window-shopping until you liked a shop with the right atmosphere.

Just so, your trade show exhibits are analogous to a shop window. Customers shall visit your stall only if they find the exterior display appealing - and for their visual assessment three seconds is all the time used. If those three seconds are not utilized in arresting the attention of the visitor, he is likely to pass your stall by without entering. Making a profitable sale is important. It is also vital to leave an indelible impression on the mind of the customer.

Trade show exhibits are important part of your marketing strategy. However, a good one is expensive too. It will be foolish on your part to invest $50,000 or more on trade show displays on your very first show. It is true that the display company is going to guide you to their best of ability. In spite of that, inexperienced that you are, you may choose the wrong displays. Again, what you need today, you may not need to morrow. What will you then do with that expensive trade show exhibits that you have bought?

A panacea for all these troubles is the trade show display rental. The companies that sell trade show displays also have a policy of renting them out. The amount of rent is a function of the size of the booth and the intricacy of the selected design.
1. If you want to rent a ten-ft. pop up trade show display, it will cost you around $550.
2. If one chooses an 8-foot pop up display, one would have to pay $400.
3. 6-ft tabletop pop up display will cost you around $350.

A few companies have a policy to charge on per diem basis:
1. 6' to 8' table top unit will cost $75 per day
2. An 8' to 10' freestanding display units will cost $125 per day.
3. The payments must be made before delivery.

Of course, the rates are all approximate. Please, get the right rate from the trade show rentals only. If you want to have a clearer idea, please take quotations from the different companies before you actually make any firm decision.

An excellent trade show exhibit you can get on rent is the panel and frame system. A panel system can be of various types: As you understand, the bigger the booth more panels you will need. The folding panel systems with a sturdy frame and truly flexible internal hinges really look elegant and allow your graphics to float.

It usually happens that trade show organizers forget the role of the salespersons involved. These people spend most of the day standing which is a trial. They end up being quite tired, something that has a negative effect on their efficiency. Their smiles when the day draws to an end is nothing more than a brave effort – if that is you have not provided them with special anti-fatigue, high density flooring to stand on.

A 10'x10' interlocking high-density floor mat will cost you $200 per show. Of course, this is something you would better buy rather than rent from trade show display rentals. You can buy such a carpet for $485. A comfort plus carpet will cost you only $535. You will have to attend only three trade shows to make a profit out of it.

If attending of trade shows is part of your regular regime, it would be a more profitable option for you to buy some of the essential items rather than pay rent for them again and again. In case you do not have the time or interest in manually overlooking the set up of your trade show booth, a good option for you would be the turnkey projects. For such cases, it is not advisable for you to buy anything.
