Participating a trade show comes at a cost. This cost would cover things like space rentals, designs and construction of trade show displays. You will also have to pay for some small maintenance like the electricity, cleaning, internet services or drayage.

Always remember, you have just 3 seconds to attract the attention of the visitors, who throng every trade fair in hoards just for the fun of it. Most of them go there because they do not have anything better to do. Yet if something catches their attention, they will definitely stop to enquire about it. So, the whole and soul purpose is to catch the attention of the customer.

Use your imagination and you can do this job quite efficiently. Trade show displays are nothing but some physical screens, banners and other equipments. The cost of the trade show displays vary greatly. Following are the types of trade show exhibits:

1)Tabletop displays - These are small metal frame, which can easily collapse into small carrying case. As the name suggests, these can be set up on top of the table that is generally supplied by the trade show organizers, quite easily.

2)Table covers - Custom printed table covers give the exhibitor the opportunity to use the table as a branding accessory. Besides, these table cover make the table stand out from the rest.

3)Pipe and Drapes - These are often supplied by the organizer. These are metal frame of upright post. The posts are supported by base plate and have cross beams on which fabric drape is either threaded or tied. The exhibitors can use them to display their own products. However, these displays cannot support any direct weight.

4)Pop up displays - It is a display, which uses flexible graphic panel attached to a spring-loaded roller, on which the graphics wind for storage. When it is ready to display, the graphic is pulled up and secured to a graphic posts at the back of the roller.

5)Panel and frame system consists of small aluminum extrusions, which are sold in pieces or parts to distributors, who in turn market a range of exhibit solutions for rent or purchases

6)Modular system - They fall somewhere between pop-up-displays and panel frame systems

7)Portable hybrid displays - Although these are hybrid by nature, they are not exactly custom exhibits, though they do display some flexibility since they consists of aluminum extrusions, tension fabrics and modular components.

8)Custom exhibits- These are rental or purchase exhibits and are fabricated from variety of materials, based upon the needs or designs of the exhibitor.

Initially, the companies used to use their own trade show displays. However, these days it is seen that the companies are relying upon the trade show display rentals. This is to avoid additional expenditure and accomplish specific targets.

Be it a trade shoe display rental or purchasing them, both have their advantages of their own. In USA it makes more sense to rent the trade show displays as they can choose them according to the theme. While in Asia, people would go for purchasing them. The reason is cheap labor and availability of raw material.

While surfing the net you must have come across "trade show exhibits" along with "trade show displays" and you have come to conclusion that the two mean the same thing. You are absolutely right. The two refer to the same paraphernalia that makes any pavilion stand apart from the others.

Now there is an entire industry based on trade show displays and exhibits. Many companies have elaborate showrooms. Others sell trade show displays over the internet without setting up a showroom. It is better to go through these sites in order to have an idea what is available in the market before you try to set up a stall. Always remember, you have only 3 seconds to capture the perspective customer's eyes.
