Basingstoke is a very nice town situated in Hampshire, with plenty to do, it is definitely worth visiting. It is an excellent place to shop, with so many places to look, there's plenty of choice. Although there are so many places to look, where do you begin? Here is one of my favourite shopping locations:

Festival Place Shopping Centre- On weekdays, this shopping centre is open from 9am-8pm, however on Saturdays, it’s only open from 9am-6pm, and on Sundays, it's only open from 11am-5pm. In Festival Place Shopping Centre, there is a variety of stores from jewellery stores to shoe shops. Some of the department stores in Festival Place Shopping Centre are, Debenhams, Marks & Spencer and Bhs. As well as department stores, there are also many other different stores, such as, H&M, Monsoon, Zara, New Look and Republic.

After a nice day of shopping, you might feel low on energy and feel like something to eat or drink. In Festival Place Shopping Centre there are places to eat, so you don't have to go far. Weather you want to go to a café, a bar, or a nice restaurant, there's somewhere to suit you. Inside Festival Place Shopping centre, there are many cafés; one of my favourites is Caffé Nero, which is on the first floor. Some other nice cafés, which are also inside are Mr Munch, Starbucks and Muffin Break. Some popular restaurants in Festival Place Shopping Centre are, Nando's, ASK and Pizza Hut. There are plenty of buses which come throughout the day, so public transport around Festival Place Shopping Centre should never be a problem. This shopping centre has its own car park which has over 2500 spaces for parking.

As I mention previously, after a long day of shopping, most people tend to want something to eat and for those people who don’t enjoy being in the same place for too long, here are some of my favourite restaurants in different areas of Basingstoke:

Galletto- This Italian Restaurant has some delicious food. There are many types of food to choose from, there are hot foods, cold foods, deserts and so much more. Galleto's also has some delicious wines, from red to white to sparkling.

La Tasca- This restaurant is only ten minutes away from Basingstoke's train station. La Tasca has lovely Spanish food. La Tasca is open Mon-Sun: 12.00-23.00. La Tasca's facilities are disabled toilets, a bar, and an outside area. For those who use Satellite navigation, the postcode, which may be required is, RG21 7BB. For further information on La Tasca's, call 01245 477949.

Every time I visit Basingstoke, I thoroughly enjoy my time there. Shopping in Basingstoke is fantastic; I always find what I'm looking for at the right prices. No matter what you're looking for, there is something for everyone in Basingstoke. Shopping in Festival Place Shopping Centre is truly amazing. Also, the places mentioned to eat are all very good. In my opinion everything in Basingstoke is up to a very high standard.
