4 Steps to Getting Celebrity Testimonials

Have you ever wished that you had a ton of celebrity testimonials that you could use to promote your book, product or service with? Wouldn't it be great if you could choose between 30+ testimonials of A-list celebrities who are raving about your stuff? Here is a 4-step formula to make it a reality.

Step One: Send a two page letter.

Your two page letter shows that you are a professional, yet still get to the point. The first page of the letter is an appeal to them and explains why they should care about whatever it is that you want endorsed. The key here is to show them why their career is enhanced if they take the time to put their reputation on the line as you are asking them to.

Step Two: Call your celebrity endorser's office.

There are a few fabulous resources where you can get the addresses, emails, and phone numbers of any celebrity you can think of. After you've written your endorser, your job is to make a telephone call to the office to confirm that the letter was, in fact, received and that it is in the queue of stuff that is actually being attended to.

You would be blown away by the volume of mail that is received at any one celebrity's office. Virtually no one, however, makes a followup call about a letter they've also sent. When you do this, your request will go to the top of their list.

Step Three: Send an immediate email.

Once you've spoken with someone on the phone, send an email to the actual person you spoke to at the office and summarize the request you've already made. The minutes following you hanging up the phone is your sweet spot to be persistent and not come across as a pest. You will look like a real pro and at the same time, you'll have put yourself on top of the list of things they've got to respond to by email, telephone, AND by snail mail.

You've now shown them that you're also not going away. Because of the two page letter you've written them, it makes it easier for them to say 'yes' to your request than for them to say 'no' to your testimonial request.

Step Four: Call, email, and call until you've got your testimonial.

Repeating this sequence until you get a 'yes' or a 'no' will be your best bet for massive success. Many people who give up after sending their first request would be shocked by the number of testimonials they'd actually get if they were to simply follow through with their request. Repeating this sequence will maximize your chances of making a celebrity testimonial campaign that results in a ton of great celebrity testimonials that you can use for the entire life of the book, product or service.

Getting celebrity testimonials is not very difficult and doesn't consume a huge amount of time, but it can be the difference between having an extremely professional looking product that has a ton of 'buzz' and having a product that bombs. Put these steps to use.
