Plans are in place to attract significant investment into the area - £3.2bn has been invested already in commercial property development, with a further £7.2bn already under construction or in the pipeline. Projects such as Eastgate and the Harewood Quarter total around £800m, with the regeneration of the Aire Valley and the due completion of the East Leeds Link Road – this alone will unlock around 400 hectares of development land which could lead to upwards of 30,000 jobs over the next ten years.
