Getting pregnant for the first time is a very exciting time in our life, yet it can be overwhelming at the same time. We're not sure what to expect, and are looking for any advice we can get the first time around. Getting pregnant comes with a lot of different emotions. It's almost like we're on an emotional roller coaster at certain points. While you're pregnant, it will be common to experience these emotions below!

Shock - There comes that time when we didn't even know we were pregnant. Sometimes a baby just makes it's way in without us even trying to have a baby. Therefore, some people get the shock that they're pregnant.

TIP: If ever you suspect that you're pregnant, it is imporatant to get a pregnancy test right away. Certain medications, daily activities, etc can be harmful to the baby. The baby grows at a very fast pace, and one of the first things that grows are the organs. Therefore, you want to make sure you take good care of yourself so you can take care of the baby as well!

Excited - Once we realize we're having a baby, we are often very excited. It's exciting to know that there is something growing in our belly. Not to mention, we wonder what it will look like, what it's personality will be like, etc.

Paranoid - Then we wonder if we're doing everything right. We want to make sure our pregnancy is healthy, and that everything is going ok. We almost get paranoid about what we eat, what we do, etc.

Happy - Once our baby starts to show thats when we get really happy. There is growing evidence that our baby is getting bigger. It is exciting to see yourself pregnant for the first time.

Frustrated - Once our baby is visible, that's usually when the pain starts. At this point we feel a little frustrated. It's harder to sleep, we're always hungry, we're tired, and our back is starting to hurt more.

Anxious - When the date is coming up quick we get a little anxious and stressed out. We want the nursery finished, the baby shower to be over, and we want to make sure we have everything the baby needs. We also want to make sure we're prepared for what's coming!

Relief - Finally, the moment we've been waiting for. After nine months or hard work, and lugging around a second person they are finally here! At this point we are usually at relief, and are happier than ever!

Pregnancy is a beautiful thing! As you can see, there are several emotions that come along with it. It is a very exciting time in your life, and in others. So, if you're feeling a little bit out of wack, that is totally normal. There are several emotions that you'll notice, and you may be more sensitive to certain things, and happier about certain things than you normally would have been. Although, if you feel pretty bad, and you think your emotions are a little more extreme, you may want to consider takling things over with a doctor.
