Edinburgh – Best Shopping Location in Scotland

Edinburgh is known to be one of the best shopping locations in Scotland, with so many places to shop in, you'll never go wrong. Some of the main shopping locations in Edinburgh are:

St James Shopping Centre- This shopping centre has a variety of both high street and department stores. Some are Republic, International, Dorothy Perkins, River Island and H.Samuel. Also in St James Shopping Centre are delicious places to eat; for example Subway and Millie's Cookies. Getting to St James Shopping Centre should not be a problem, as there are regular buses which go to and from the centre. Further more, there is also Waverly train station, which is also not far from the shopping centre. Throughout St James Shopping Centre, there are many facilities including car parks, pay phones, disabled access, lost property and toilets.

Princes Mall Shopping Centre-The opening times for Princess Mall Shopping Centre are, Mon-Wed: 9am-6pm, Thurs: 9am-7pm, Fri-Sat: 9am-6pm and Sun: 11am-5pm. There are many places to eat in Princes Mall Shopping Centre, which are Spud U Like, Harry Ramsdens, Julian Graves, Cost Coffee, KFC, O’Briens, Coffee Stop, Subway and McDonalds. Buses around Princes Mall Shopping Centre come and go regularly, so it shouldn’t be difficult getting there or back. Princes Mall Shopping Centre has some nice stores. Some are New Look, Warehouse, The Body Shop and Kookai. The post code, for satellite navigation is EH1 1BQ. Some of the services for customers are both public and disabled toilets, lifts and ATMs. For further information on Princes Mall Shopping Centre, call 0131 557 3759.

Gyle Shopping Centre- This shopping centre’s opening times are, Mon-Wed: 9.30am-8pm, Thurs: 9.30am-9pm, Fri: 9.30am-8pm, Sat: 9am-6pm and Sun: 10am-6pm. Gyle Shopping Centre is situated to the West side of Edinburgh. In the Gyle Shopping Centre is a food court. Places to eat in the food court are, Cost Coffee, Zumo, Starbucks, Pizza Hut, Burger King, Spud U Like, O’Briens and Mc Chens Oriental Express. The food court opening times are, Mon-Wed: 8.30am-8pm, Thurs: 8.30am-9pm, Fri: 8.30am-8pm, Sat: 8.30am-6pm and Sun: 8.30am-6pm. Public transport around the Gyle Shopping Centre is very good. In the Gyle Shopping Centre, there are a variety of stores; some are Accessorize, Boots, Clinton Cards, Gap and HMV.

Ocean Terminal- This shopping location is on Edinburgh’s beautiful waterfront. Ocean Terminal provides you with a relaxing and peaceful shopping experience. There are more than 70 stores throughout Ocean Terminal, as well as having bars, spas, a cinema and restaurants. In Ocean Terminal there’s so much to do and enjoy. You’ll never experience a boring moment shopping here. The opening times are, Mon-Fri: 10am-8pm, Sat 10am-7pm and Sun: 11am-6pm. Some of the stores in Ocean Terminal are, Au Naturale, Bhs, Bishops, Clinton Cards and Charlie Miller. Ocean Terminal has many buses which come and go throughout the day. For a relaxing time after shopping, there are plenty of things to do in Ocean Terminal. For example, there is a cinema as well as a spa.

With a number of places to shop, Edinburgh is the place to be for the seasoned shopper.
