New Orleans, Louisiana is quickly becoming the center of the southern United States. There are a lot of people who are looking for somewhere to escape to. They want somewhere that is beautiful, culture rich and does not cost them an arm and a leg to move into. New Orleans fits all of these qualifications and more.

One of the best parts about New Orleans when you compare it with other cities is that there are so many events that come into town. New Orleans is often considered the center of attention for the convention groups across the United States, only being beaten by Vegas with the total amount of conventions held. Being able to access the wealth of knowledge that comes into town is crucial. It brings new jobs to the immediate area, as well as makes New Orleans a great place to find a famous speaker.

However, there is more to New Orleans than the conventions and seminars that are held there. You can also learn the art of partying. Being able to enjoy the wonderful culture of a city is very important. New Orleans is not short on any culture, in fact it has more culture than nearly any other city in the United States. You can walk down Bourbon street and enjoy the French quarter. If you like something a little bit more spicy, there is plenty of Creole food all around the city!

With all of the different nationalities that help built up New Orleans, there is so many different food choices that you might just go crazy. There are high class restaurants, and many lower class establishments where the food is the main attraction. The best part about all of this is that it is easy to access. The entire city of New Orleans is laid out very simply. There are no strange roads or “bridges to nowhere”, you are able to drive directly to whatever destination you wish.

Housing is a booming business in New Orleans. After Hurricane Katrina, many people fled the region in fear of future hurricanes hitting the shores. However, in the past few years the Army Corps of Engineers has gone in and rebuilt many of the levees. New Orleans is ready for a large storm such as Katrina. There are many evacuation plans in place to help rid the city of people, and to save them from any potential danger. The homes being built are being strengthened so that they can withstand at least some of the forces of the hurricane. Many homes in lower income areas have been demolished and are being rebuilt to today's standards. This is allowing many people to live like they should, and not like they were.

Whether you are looking for a city where excitement is plentiful, food is delicious, or just a place to call home, New Orleans can give you it. There is plenty more that is offered by this wonderful city. You owe yourself a trip to the city in order to find out whether you want to live there and enjoy the rest of your life in deep culture!
