So, if you’re planning a Mallorca villa holiday with your family and have young children, you should definitely consider staying near the white sandy beach of Pollensa. Puerto Pollensa is a mooring point for yachts and brightly coloured fishing boats, which have in the past few years sadly decreased to be the minority. Puerto Pollensa is a great destination in which to take a Mallorca villa holiday, but you may also want to consider Cala d’Or, which is situated on the south-east coast of the island. The area is made up of a range of fine sandy beaches which visitors can reach via a popular land train. Of all the beaches, Cala Gran is the largest, but at just 40m long can rarely be described in this manner. However, Cala d’Or from which the resort takes its name is easily the most popular beach, and as it remains crowded throughout the peak summer season, having a Mallorca villa nearby should secure your family a prime spot, if you can get up early enough.

If you don’t like the thought of sunbathing on a crowded beach, you may want to take the lead of many Mallorca tourists in-the-know and catch the holiday bus to El Trenc. El Trenc is a beautiful beach of clear water and white sands on which it is possible to spend an entire day of your Mallorca villa holiday. The beach has enough to occupy children and families, whilst couples may want to spend some time walking amongst the nearby pine dunes before sampling a delicious meal in the bar-cum-restaurant which is located close to the water’s edge.
