Showering, it is something we do as often as brushing our teeth, brushing our hair and making our bed. It is also something most of us take for granted.

The average north american spends roughly 50 hours a year in the shower. While you are in the shower it is really one of the only times a day you get to spend alone, by yourself. It should really be a time to express yourself without having to worry about what others think. When you are in the shower you should be care free, in my eyes when you enter your shower you should be on your own mini vacation. Here's how I turned my shower into a mini paradise using shower accessories.

Several years ago I bought a shower radio with a built in cd player to enjoy my favorite tunes in the shower. I remember singing in the shower along to the song "jukebox hero" and it really got me excited for the day ahead. I was able to let loose and surprisingly enough this simple device really brought me happiness. I was so excited about taking my shower and jamming out in the morning I had no trouble popping out of bed. To this day my favorite shower accessory by far is my shower radio.

Some months later I decided that I would make my shower into a place for ME. I decided to buy a portable shower head. It made all the difference in the world while washing my 2 dogs Ralph and Percy, now I don't have to use tupperware to pick up water and drop it onto them. Later on I replaced my shower tiles with a colour I liked and glow in the dark grout. I also replaced my grey shower curtain with another curtain featuring my favorite television show the Sopranos. My rough towels were replaced with the smoothest I could find. The last shower accessory needed was an LED shower head. Now every morning as the sun slowly rises I head to my shower (or should I say disco party) and dance the minutes away!

Besides showering I also take baths regularly and let me tell you I never feel more relaxed than when I do after a bath. The soothing heat form the water and pleasant scent of bubble bath, amazing. I now make time for my baths atleast once a month, not only because it is something I really look forward to but because I need to use my other shower accessories including my incense, scented candles and imported bubble bath from france, ooo lala.

So there you have it, my journey to bathing paradise. Ever since I updated my shower accessories I have really felt rejuvinated and more eager to take on every day challenges. Every cent of money I spent is well worth it in my eyes, I have essentially given myself a luxurious spa in my own home and I get to visit it every day of the week.
