Oxford is a lovely city situated in the South East part of England. Oxford is a fantastic place to visit with a population of approximately 165 000. Oxford is popular place for tourists to visit because of its atmosphere. As well as the atmosphere, Oxford has plenty of things to do, places to visit and places to stay. Some of my favourite things to do/places to see in Oxford are:

Cutteslow and Sunnymead Park - Being one the larger parks in Oxford, Cutteslow and Sunnymead Park is very popular. This park is open 24/7. There are many things to do in this park. Some of the many things in Cutteslow and Sunnymead Park are a paddling pool for the kids; two kids play areas, a miniature railway, mini golf and a ping pong table. For the mini railway, the ticket prices are: single fare for adults and children- £1, Children under two-Free and a Saver Ticket for ten rides- £8. Public transport around the park is fairly good.

Barton Pool - This Swimming pool has four lanes and is situated in the east of Oxford. The opening times are, Mon-Fri: 6.15am-10pm and Sat-Sun: 8am-8.30pm. Barton Pool has sessions for both adults and children. Children under 17 can swim for free.

Museum of Oxford - This museum is well known for its historical artefacts. This museum is definitely worth a visit. The opening times for Museum of Oxford are, Tue-Sat: 10am-5pm. In the Museum of Oxford, there are guided tours. Entering the Museum of Oxford is free, however for group visits there is a small fee. The post code for the Museum of Oxford which may be required for satellite navigation is, OX1 1DZ. For further information on the Museum of Oxford call 01865 252761.

Oxford Botanic Garden - The opening times change throughout the year. The garden has three completely different sections. Firstly, the glasshouses, which have plants that cannot take the harsh British weather, therefore must always stay in the glasshouses. Secondly, the Walled Garden, which have different plants that are grouped together. Lastly, outside the Walled Garden, this beautiful area has a variety of pretty and colourful plants. For further information on Oxford Botanic Garden, call 01865 286690.

Templars Square Shopping Centre - This shopping centre has everything you could possibly desire. Templars Square Shopping Centre includes stores such as, Iceland, Boots, Carphone Warehouse, WHSmith, and Peacocks. Also in the Templars Square Shopping Centre are delicious places to eat. The Opening times for the Templars Square Shopping Centre are Mon-Sat: 8am-6pm and Sun: 10am-4pm. The post code for satellite navigation is OX4 3XH. For more information about the Templars Square Shopping Centre, call 01865 748864.

Oxford is a fantastic place to visit with so many attractions, for locals and tourists. Throughout Oxford there are sites to see and places to go. The sites listed above are just a few of the many places to see in Oxford. Oxford is definitely worth a visit, and I highly recommend visiting the places listed. In Oxford, you won’t get bored.
