How about sleeping, eating, playing, and traveling the world without having a real job but you're still earning money... Does that sound good?

Of course. The only way to do this is to have passive income.

What is passive income?

It is a stream of income with little or no effort or one that requires little to no direct involvement. To me, this is the one of the best ways to earn because you can live life to its full potential without the hassles of your average 9-5 job. In the end its about doing less work but getting big profits.

Earning a passive income can be achieved in a lot of ways. And one of the best venues to earn passively is through the Internet The online world has opened lots of doors for resourceful and entrepreneurial individuals. The big advantage the Internet has in terms of business is that you can set up a site without leaving your day job and it doesn't have to cost a fortune.

The world wide web has had a major impact in the business world. It has become an essential part of the business process, especially for its marketing value. This recognition has brought numerous streams of income to people like us.

In these times, lots and lots of people like to get stuff from the web. On-line resources have become a great commodity. You should take advantage of this by either making the products to provide for the consumers needs or by doing some affiliate work for companies that have these products.

Now that you get the general idea here are two common ways to generate passive income from the net.

Affiliate Marketing

Basically, what you do for affiliate marketing is promotional work for preexisting products. You help a company or an individual sell its product. The more customers you can get to buy the product or service, the more compensation you will get from the main seller. You are become an advertiser.

You become an affiliate marketer by working on the web to drive qualified traffic to your products website. Things like writing articles, putting some ads on your blogs, creating videos, or utilizing social networking sites to promote the product are all ways to find qualified and eager customers.

The good thing about this is you can have as many affiliates as you like. Working with many different affiliates means having many different streams of income to rely on.

On-line resources provider

The difference between an online resource provider and an affiliate is that you are the one who manufactures the resource. You are the main seller.

The products you sell can be just about anything; even products that have little or no cost at all. Products like e-books, audio books, instructional videos, etc. If you can market them well, you will earn lots of money from these resources. If you want, you can tap affiliate marketers to do the work for you.

There are plenty of other ways to earn online but the two examples above are probably the most common and the easiest because they require the least time and effort. You'll only spend time on the initial set-up. Once it's up and running, everything runs on its own and your free to do whatever you'd like.
