Vendee is a beautiful place for camping, and with the right campsite, you can have a fantastic holiday in this beautiful location. Camping in the Vendée offers something for everyone. Enjoy the beautiful beaches and lively resorts along the coast, which contrast with the marshes and quaint villages inland. Whether you are looking for a relaxing holiday on a scenic campsite, or an all action adventure in the lively resort of St Jean de Monts, campsites in the Vendée can offer it all.

Here are the top 4 campsites in the Vendée:

#1 Camping l’Oceano d’Or

If you want a sun-filled seaside holiday, this campsite in the Vendée is ideal. Situated on the edge of Jard-sur-Mer, the emplacements are protected by hedges and trees, offering a sense of privacy in a beautiful setting. A holiday here can be as relaxing or energetic as you like - there is a large pool area surrounded by a sun terrace, while the poolside bar is perfect for a glass of local wine. Children will love it too, as the fun waterslide will keep them entertained for hours. Once you’ve had enough of taking it easy, there are a number of sporting activities on offer, including bicycle hire, tennis and basketball. And all this without ever leaving your campsite in the Vendée!

#2 Camping les Biches

Camping in the Vendée with teenagers? This campsite is the perfect choice for you - the lively atmosphere and choice of available activities are sure to appeal! While you relax at the side of the pool or on your shaded emplacement, your teenagers will be happy to entertain themselves – there’s table-tennis, mini golf and volleyball during the day, with lively evening entertainment including discos, live bands and, of course, karaoke.

#3 Camping le Clarys Plage

Enjoy hours of sunshine whilst camping in the Vendée on this lovely campsite. The golden sandy beach is just a five minute walk away, and it is here that you are likely to spend most of your time. Back on site, there is a fantastic water complex that is ideal for children of all ages. There’s a great choice of fun waterslides, outdoor pools, plus a covered indoor pool, all surrounded by a spacious sun terrace and overlooked by the bar area. There is a good selection of lively bars and restaurants just a short walk from the campsite, ideal for an evening stroll.

#4 Camping Acapulco

This campsite in the Vendée is perfect for family holidays. You’ll be spoilt for choice with a number of beautiful, sandy beaches nearby that are perfect for beach walks, and an amazing pool complex on site. Children will have hours of fun whizzing down the five waterslides, and there is even a separate children’s pool for the little ones. The bar area is conveniently located overlooking the pool area and the children’s playground. Inside you will find a games room where the children will keep themselves occupied with a pool table and computer games.
