So let’s talk about shopping. A lot depends on what type of person you are and what type of person you want to attract. None of the options we discussed earlier are bad, and none of them are absolutely perfect. However, choosing the right venue could put you on the road to dating success, so take care. You’ll want to select an option that offers you a level of comfort. If your environment makes you uncomfortable, insecure, or less than confident, you’ve picked the wrong one and put dating success out of reach. Some of us are completely at ease approaching someone in a crowd and making that winning impression, but most of us are not.

Some dating venues are a little less intense, and this can help both parties find a level of comfort that helps both make the connection we all hope for. The company picnic, church social, or some other relaxed social event could fit into this category. These dating environments are more casual, but you can’t always control when they happen and who shows up. In these circumstances you can end up with a good place to find someone but those someone’s that are available aren’t the ones you would choose to date anyway.

Online matchmakers can be a good option because they allow you to shop the possibilities without any pressure at all. They can seem a bit impersonal at first, but they do offer the ability to research and connect with a potential date without risk of embarrassment. They also allow you to take your time figuring out exactly how you want to make that important first impression. This can really help you on your way to dating success.

Remember, successful dating is a process, but those first steps can make all the difference. Be honest with yourself about who you are and what you want. This will tell you where to shop and what to shop for. Once you can figure out these aspects of the dating game, you are sure to have more success in your dating efforts.
