Food Parasites - How to Avoid Them

Many people do not know how to avoid food parasites or understand the importance of maintaining a healthy intestinal tract and digestive system in general. If you have poor eating habits, and allow yourself to exist in a constant state of stress with very little exercise or time for relaxation, you should know that you are putting yourself at high risk for developing an infestation of food parasites. Worms and other nasty microscopic parasites can develop in your intestine when your immune system is operating poorly due to an ongoing illness or a diet that is low in actual nutrition.

If you are concerned that you or your family members might be in danger of developing food parasites and want to learn how to avoid them, you should start to evaluate your risk by taking stock of your daily diet. Take particular notice of high consumption of meats, dairy products, sugars and foods that are known to form acid. This is the perfect diet and intestinal situation for food parasites to flourish in. You should also make a note of whether or not you notice yourself being constipated on a regular basis.

If you notice that you are currently consuming the kind of diet that allows parasites to move right in, you might be a little scared, but don't worry, there are some easy changes that you can make to avoid them by creating an unfriendly environment for them. First of all, you can start by eating things that the parasites don't like to eat. Food parasites dislike raw green vegetables, tomatoes, raw carrots, black pepper, ground almonds, blackberries, fresh horseradish, and in general, foods that are high in natural fiber.

If you think you or someone you love might already be affected by food parasites, then there are several things that you can do to start encouraging them to leave your body. First of all, you should immediately alter your diet to include only foods that the parasites find unappetizing. Secondly, you should start taking garlic supplements, or add a lot of fresh garlic to your diet, as it is a natural anti-parasitic.

The World Health Organization (WHO) classifies parasites as among the six most dangerous diseases that infect humans. One would think that food supplies in the USA would be relatively free from parasites that could cause infections in humans. However, food parasites are more common in USA than most people think. American doctors have concluded that parasites can be one of the most undiagnosed health problems in our country, and Americans should learn how to avoid them.

Most of those parasites are microscopic, but a few are types of worms that can grow to up to 20 feet inside the intestines. Tapeworms can be found in both pork and beef. Anyone who consumes undercooked pork or beef is at risk of becoming infected with tapeworms. Other common parasites are Giardia Duodenalis and Trichinella Spiralis. Trichinosis infection is classed as a type of food poisoning and may have severe symptoms. With other parasites, though, some people may contract the infection but never experience any symptoms.
