Your subconscious mind contains a powerful force that can make you successful in your home business. This same force-or lack of it-helps determine your success in many areas of you life. Future imaging--also known as imagination!

Imagination? But that's for kids. Right? Playing pretend. We were taught in school to use our imagination. Unfortunately it ended there for many of us. But that can change. It must change if you really want to achieve the success that you and your family deserve.

Did you know that we take action or fail to take action more because of imagination than because of will power or discipline?

"Human beings always act and feel and perform in accordance with what they imagine to be true about themselves and their environment" says Dr. Maxwell Maltz, author of "The New Psycho-Cybernetics." He goes onto to say: "You cannot long escape or outperform that picture." Not ever. What you imagine about yourself becomes a core belief.

The subconscious mind houses: 1) Memories, 2) Emotions, and 3) Imagination. Think about this for a moment. These three components pretty much control your life, and more than 95% of the time, you are consciously unaware of them. Imagination can become even more powerful when combined with the other two components of the subconscious.

These same three components are not only closely related, but each can be influenced by the other. For instance, if you imagine yourself reaching a certain goal, and then combine your future vision with the emotion of joy and happiness, this encourages you to take the necessary actions to bring that "future image" to life. By the same token, you can combine an imagined future success with the memory of a prior success AND the emotion connected to that memory.

The good news is, you can completely control your own imagination. As easily as you imagine total failure or falling short, you can just as easily imagine success and achievement. You can literally "steer" yourself towards your goal or target. It won't happen overnight, but then, what does? It's a simple--not easy--mind shift. An "image" shift, if you will.

Napoleon Hill, author of THINK AND GROW RICH, wrote: "Through the faculty of creative imagination, the finite mind of man has direct communication with Infinite Intelligence. It is the faculty through which 'hunches' and 'inspirations' are received. It is by this faculty that all basic, or new ideas are handed over to man. It is through this faculty that individuals may "tune in," or communicate with the subconscious mind of other men." Imagination is the "Fifth Step" to riches in Think And Grow Rich. Hill refers to Imagination as "...the workshop of the mind."

The Home Business Owner who exercises voluntary control of his or her imagination will notice many opportunities and ways to create value for the marketplace. In turn, this equals greater income and wealth. It's merely a matter of deciding what you want, and then intentionally visualizing a "future image" of achieving that goal. Combining your vision with a positive emotion of love, joy, or happiness makes this an even more powerful force. Work at feeling as though you have already achieved the goal that you intend to achieve.

Charles M Schwab says, "To carry on a successful business, a man must have imagination. He must see things as in a vision, a dream of the whole thing." This method has worked for some of the most successful business people in the world. It can certainly work for you, too.
