Scarves are ideal accessories to enhance any outfit. They are available in different beautiful designs, fabric, and shapes, they many in triangle, square, or rectangle shape and it is fact that wearing a scarf depends on its size and shape. There are many ways to tie a head scarf whether you are looking to cover your head or hairstyle, and it also essential to know how to choose a scarf that will match your outfit.

People have been using scarves for so long and in so many different ways that the trend had never lost its appeal nor even waned. These can be used as an addition to a person's wardrobe and would actually enhance the way they look and at times have become a stylistic fashion statement.

One of the most common ways of using one is using it as a hair accessory. Scarves as headgear or as hair ornaments has been a practice in high fashion circles and this can be seen as reflected in popular cultures and can be seen worn by actresses in movies or television shows. How many times have you seen a movie or a TV show with women seated inside a convertible with their hair pulled back as much as possible away from the face and held in place by a scarf?

Such is the appeal of wearing this accessory and the following can give you some idea on how to wrap your hair in a fashionable piece.

1. Satin or silk scarves may not work well if used as a headband due to the intrinsically slippery nature of the material. A scarf with a more textured material would be more appropriate as headgears so you can fold and twist them in whatever way you want them to go. Still, if you prefer one in an elegant silk to cover your head you may still do so but it would be advisable to use an ornamental clamp or pin to make it stay in place.

2. One of the simplest ways to use such is to pull the hair back to form a ponytail at the back of the head. A rubber band should be used first to secure the hair before tying a rolled or folded piece of your choice over the rubber band. You can let the ends hang loosely for added style or you can bundle them all up on the knot.

3. If you are having a bad hair day, you can use a stylish scarf as a head band. Simply fold it to form a triangle then fold or roll it to form a band. Just like an ordinary head band, you can pull it over your head then tie the ends at the back of the neck. Let the excess length hang loose if you are using a longer piece but if you want it to be exact, you can use a smaller square.

4. And if you are really having a bad hair day, cover it all up with a fashionable scarf. This would also be a great hair to protect your hair from the elements while you are seated on a convertible or out there in the ocean on a cruise. The possibilities of using one can be endless and would only be limited by your imagination.
