Having your own paper trimmer on hand is a very important part of your office's ability to produce its own documents, reports, and presentations in-house. Fellowes makes four of the best paper trimmers on the market, and in this article we will explore these machines and their various capabilities.

1. Neutron: Fellowes' smallest-capacity trimmer is the Neutron. This trimmer is meant mostly for personal, in-home use, and it features their trademark Safecut stainless steel rotary blade. The Neutron and the Neutron Plus can cut up to 10 sheets of 20lb paper at one time, and has a quick change blade system that allows you to change blades quickly, easily and safely. These trimmers are perfect for home use such as scrapbooking and creating photo projects. The Neutron Plus gives the user the added creative flexibility of three additional blade styles: wavy, perforating, and scoring/fold. The Neutron Plus also features a metallic cutting bed which increases durability.

2. Proton: For your home office or smaller business, Fellowes offers the Proton line of trimmers. Like the Neutron, the Proton trimmer cuts up to 10 sheets at a time, and has the same safety-minded blade changing system. The Proton machines also have variable paper clamps that ensure that your cuts will be precise, and cutting guides that allow for different paper sizes, photos and even angled cuts. The Proton is available with either a 12-inch or 18-inch cutting length. Both models feature convenient carrying points for easy and safe portability.

3. Electron: The next step up, and the perfect trimmer for a small office setting, is the Fellowes Electron trimmer. Like the two models mentioned above, the Electron has the capability to cut ten sheets at once and also uses the Fellowes SafeCut safety blades and quick-change blade system. The Electron, however, features the Fellowes trademark SafeCut LED guide, which gives the user a straight guide line without the use of lasers. The Electron comes with four different blade styles: straight, wavy, scoring and perforating, also features a durable metal cutting base with an integrated storage compartment for blades that are not in use. The Electron is also designed for easy portability, and features clamps for cutting precision.

4. Atom: If you have a large office and are regularly involved with high-volume projects, the Atom series of rotary paper trimmers is probably the way to go. The Atom can cut up to thirty sheets at one time and has an extremely durable metal base with non-skid feet for added safety and accuracy. This cutter offers various cutting guides that allow the user to use many different paper sizes. It even has markings for use in creating angled cuts. The Atom also has an automatically-engaging paper clamp that holds the paper in place during cutting thus ensuring a nice straight cut. This machine has a heavy duty blade that will cut through cardstock, foam board, and plastic sheeting.

No matter what size business you are, producing your own reports, presentations, and proposals is a great way to take the next step forward. Fellowes makes an excellent line of rotary paper trimmers that are great for use for personal applications and office environments. Check out the Fellowes Neutron, Proton, Electron and Atom trimmers today. You won't be disappointed.
