Pet stores are great places to shop for pet supplies because all necessities are at your disposal. Whether you are looking for vitamins, leashes, decorative rocks for the fish bowl, or even outfits for the dog, pet stores have it all. Stores such as PetSmart, Petco, and Petland have knowledgeable staff on hand to answer immediate questions about your pets and lead you to the correct medication. If looking for a pet, these stores are also highly recognized for safety and love. Working often with shelters, pet stores often supply people with pets after shots have been administered.

If this is your first animal, a collar is a necessity. That will prevent the pound from picking them up, and it will also give information in case they are ever lost. If you choose to keep the animal inside, it is best to buy a bed or a cage that helps to keep your house clean and gives your pet somewhere to call their own. Don’t forget a feeding bowl and water! It’s easiest to get something that has food and water connected, that way you don’t find yourself constantly looking for half of their meal. Here are three great places to get you started.

One of the greatest stores is PetSmart, because it offers everyday items such as dog and cat food, toys, treats, and carryon cases while mixing it with unique items. One of their biggest sellers is Petrodex Home Dental Kits for dogs due to the powerful enzymes infused into the toothpaste. The dental kit comes with a tube of enzymatic toothpaste, a toothbrush, and a finger brush. The toothpaste is non-foaming and specifically designed for dogs. It is offered at PetSmart in an attempt to prevent premature tooth loss and receding gums due to an accumulation of tartar. The toothpaste is offered in chicken or beef flavors, and it plays a vital role in prevention of veterinary visits. The finger brush should be used to massage the gums of your dog and the soft dual-ended toothbrush included should be used to pick items from small and large tooth surfaces. PetSmart offers grooming, training, and veterinary services to all animals and they provide an outreach to homeless animals.

Petco is another amazing store for pets. Offering everything from dog carriers, to detangling oatmeal shampoo, to pet fitting hoodies, and mammoth dog bones, Petco has branched out in all directions. One of the greatest attributes of the store is the LitterMaid Elite Basic Automatic Self-Cleaning Litter Box. This litter box is much more advanced than what we grew up with. It is sensor activated, featuring an ionic air cleaner to help eliminate clumping litter and waste smells. Cream and blue, this box is self-cleaning, immediately going to work after your cat leaves the box to sweep waste into a disposable container. A sleep time motor is included for nighttime bathroom use, so midnight runs of the cat won’t start the motor and wake you up.

If you are just browsing for pet supplies or pet items in general, Petland can cover just about everything. They can keep your pets healthy with treatment and prevention options like Frontline, for ticks, Ear Clear cleansing pads, and shampoos and conditioners. They also offer vitamins for all animals, diarrhea relief, and provide mints for bad breath. With a wide variety of food and treats, Petland is every animal's dream, providing carriers, beds, and blankets to give a luxurious lifestyle.
