If your laundry is outside the apartment, you should make sure that you are safe to go there. It is not advisable to walk there at night. The code holder should never tell the code to anyone else.If the apartment complex has a main entrance gate (an external security element) you should also make sure not to give out the security code that is used to open this gate.

If a stranger asks to come inside your apartment saying that he/she was sent by your landlord, call first your landlord to ascertain that the person was indeed sent by him/her. When dealing with a stranger, you should be very careful as he/she can be a bogus caller trying to steal some thing from you or even trying to kill you.
