The idea behind this Medifast diet review is to offer you an exact snapshot of what you should expect if you join this diet plan. This plan is all about replacing your average daily meal meaning that you will totally substitute majority of what you normally eat with the meals offered by Medifast. Most of the time, clients pick on the 5 and 1 diet plan which means that you are allowed to have 6 meals and snacks per day.

In Medifast 5 and 1 plan, five out of those six meals are considered to be diet meals. Rest of the 1 meal you prepare yourself with lean meat and vegetables which is also knows as lean and green meal. However, this must adequately consist of fruits, vegetables, and lean meat mixed according to your individual preference.

This diet plan has been not so clear by some. Sometimes people think that Medifast diets are all about protein bars and shakes. This could not be any more wrong. These menu options are popular for some consumers, but they can pick from a wide range of foods items such as oatmeals, chili, coffee, puddings, crackers and fruit drinks. On the top of that, there are over 70 food items to pick from this program.

In my own view, I find their food quite satisfactory but I also place zero-fat syrup to the oat meals and shakes to kick it up a notch. In addition, I also throw in some fat free cheese and salsa to some of my soups or stew every now and then so you see you have lot of options and don’t need to be restricted to the set menu.

I am not so specific about food so the diet plan seems to be working fine for me. If you are however the type of person who enjoys preparing and eating fine gourmet meals, this diet program may not be suitable for you. Not unless you can be mostly gratified from the lean and green meal or from the add-ons that you can decide to toss in.

The menu is developed with a plan in mind to keep it high protein but low carbohydrate. However, there are lots of sweets and typical snack foods that assure you need not necessarily realize this. This diet plan acts by placing your body in a mild state of ketosis. This works by allowing your system in burning your own body fats. You will not feel anything from this process, but there are some strips that may be bought from stores to be certain that you are in this state. Ketosis supposedly acts to lessen your cravings and this I found to be ultimately true.

To sum things up, I would highly recommend this diet program to everyone. The price is quite acceptable as well only costing you for about 8-10 dollars per day compared to $16 an average American spends on daily meals. There are regular coupons and most of your food is also included. I find that this regimen has really saved me a lot of dollars since I no longer spend on junk foods and sweet treats.

Certainly, the best thing about this program is that it works and its decades of proven track record can vouch for it. In addition, I incorporate regular exercise into my daily routine. This regimen definitely does you a favor in giving you an efficient and stable weight loss.
