Wrinkling will be a major concern such that it is best to allow a 24-hour rest in between uses. This will allow the woolen garment to straighten up the wrinkles on its own without the need for separate ironing.

Neatly and gently fold scarves and store them in a cool dry un-crowded space. If at all possible, you can try to fold them and hang them on a padded hanger and allowed to hang loose. In cases where you need instant cleaning, hang them inside the bathroom with the steam on so the moisture will work out its magic on the wrinkles.

If you need to iron or press scarves, do it by covering the material first with a press cloth. Do not press directly on the surface of the woolen garment because the extreme heat can severely damage the fibers of the garment. It is also best to use a flat iron with a built-in steamer so the moisture will greatly reduce the need for extreme heat.

Caring for one’s scarf entails a thorough understanding of the material upon which the garment is made of. Once this is established, it will be a lot better to carry out the different activities related to the care of scarves and other similarly delicate items.
