People nowadays are turning to e-business as a secondary income source. For working dads, stay at home moms, college students, retirees, and frankly almost anyone under the sun, a home based internet business is a viable candidate for an income. E-business can be the answer to the need for supplemental income, but it can also provide for the entrepreneuer as a sole income source!

There are many things to consider when the inspiration to start an e-business hits you. Exploring them all falls outside the scope of this article, but many internet entrepreneuers will tell you that the beginning stages can certainly present the greatest number of challenges. There are a countless number of entrepreneurs who began and finished their project without anything to show for it. They wonder, 'What went wrong?', 'What could I have done differently?'.

Presented are a handful of ideas to help keep you on the cutting edge as you achieve your e-business goals:

1. Outsource as much assistance as possible! You don't know it all and probably never will unfortunately. There are however plenty of sources of help online in your quest for a comfortable online living! Don't be afraid to spend a few dollars (but don't overspend, either!) to receive some helpful knowledge. There are plenty of smart millionaires out there who are dying to help those who are getting started!

2. Always stay knowledgable! Keep up with competitors. Be aware of trends. Be active and proactive. The more you learn, the more you want to learn.

3. Stay within a field that you have knowledge! Contrary to popular opinion, you don't have to be an expert, but it will help you to be in a field where you have significant knowledge. Recognize your boundaries, but understand that you probably know more about many subjects than you are aware of! Be confident in your knowledge and have a desire to learn more. Remember, what you can't learn; outsource!

4. Confidence! Persistence! Knowledge! Discipline! You need not score a ten in all these virtues, but aim for at least an eight! The entrepreneuers who possess these vital factors are the most successful ones. Remember, however, the most important virtue: Never forget to make it FUN!

5. Make it your part-time job! This will keep you from 'quitting'. You are now a business-person. If you treat it as such, it is far more likely that you will experience success. Act as though you've just opened a store and you'll everything you can to keep it open. Persistence is key!

6. Increase your frustration quotient. Any time a new venture is started, you are likely to become frustrated as you move along. It's only natural and everyone goes through it. Too often, people overestimate what their first month gain will be and become frustrated when it falls short of their expectation. Keep moving! Increase the amount of frustration that you will experience before you quit!
