There are numerous ways to find a low cost vacation. The obvious way these days is to search the internet through the numerous travel websites. Some people like to plan their trip months in advance especially on cruises where one would get a reduced rate for early booking. The other, often used technique, is last minute vacation deals which can be found on the internet and through travel agencies as well.

When you find pricing on the internet, it is a good idea to shop several sites in addition to going directly to the hotel, airline, or cruise line. Often times, booking direct can actually be cheaper.

If you are cruising and do not care to have an outside cabin, you can saves hundreds of dollars. After all, you can stand on deck and enjoy the scenery. Most of your time on a cruise is spent outside of the room, on the islands you’re visiting and on the decks very entertaining Tiki Bar! There is no reason for anyone to want a nice room if they are trying to save money and go on a very low budget vacation. Here’s a pointer for all the drinkers out there. If you’re trying to experience low budget travel then be careful of the bar tab expense on a cruise! That’s where they get you! So if might be wise to go to you local liquor store and purchase a travel flask. Don’t over do it with the amount of liquor you take because it is frowned upon, however you can defiantly save a buck or two by smuggling some liquor on board for you and your partner. There’s no shame in that! Another thing about cruises is that it is much cheaper to travel and share rooms as two or more. So if you have kids, then they share a room and the cost stays low.

Another economical way to cut cost is staying at an all-inclusive resort. It may seem pricey, but keep in mind; all drinks and food are included. Cancun, Mexico has many of these types of packages so look into a weeks stay at any of there big resorts. Just don’t step on the scales shortly after arriving home.
