When the tsunami struck Thailand, it killed many people. It also exposed Thailand's lack of proper medical care. There were not facilities where survivors could be treated. Rescue groups set up temporary medical stations. These were limited. When the major relief effort ended, funding was not available for field hospitals. Most of them were dismantled. This left many people in rural Thailand villages without any health care. When you have an earache, you can go to the doctor. When the people of Thailand have an earache, they suffer. If they have something more serious, they die.

Even something like appendicitis is fatal. It could easily be treated in most of the world. Without medical care, life is precarious. You can help by making donations for patients of Thailand. Your donation will be used to establish medical care centers. Eventually, aid workers want medical care in every village. Donations for patients of Thailand can go to existing treatment centers as well. These centers lack funding. Many times they cannot obtain important medicines. They certainly do not have advantaged medical technology. Each dime that goes to improving hospitals can help save lives. There is so much need in Thailand. It is impossible to overestimate the poverty in the villages. Because of the tsunami, there are many orphans. Many were orphaned by the diseases that spread after the tsunami too. These orphans live mainly in overcrowded orphanages. They lack medical care and suffer from it. Without proper medical care, a child can never grow to reach his full potential. You can help with your donation. Get medical care to the orphans.

Donations for patients of Thailand can help all patients of all ages. You can even send money to help train doctors. More doctors will help solve Thailand's medical problems. A donation that funds a medical education could save thousands of lives. Another medical problem in Thailand is the water. Most of the water is purified. It is filled with diseases. If a man gets sick from the water, he has to go to the hospital. If there is a hospital available, that is. Once he is treated and released, he often gets sick again. He has no choice but to drink the bad water. No other water is available in the entire village. If you want to make donations for patients of Thailand, you could fund a clean water source. Having access to clean water is crucial in improving the health of a rural village.

The people of Thailand need clean water, hospitals, and doctors. These are such basic things. You have had access to them all for your entire life. If you are grateful to have such amenities, pass it on. You can help by means of donations for patients of Thailand. No matter how small your gift, it will be welcomed. You will be sending your money to a place of true need. Thailand truly needs your financial help, whatever help you can spare. Your dollars will both improve and save countless lives.
