Winter is just around the corner and our immune system is kicking into high gear. When we are born, we come equipped with “innate immunity,” an immune system that is an incredible natural protection mechanism against bacteria, infectious organisms, toxins, allergens, viruses and other assailants in the air. The immune system is composed of cells, tissues, proteins and organs that work as a unit to keep the human body healthy.
