Who says that water is for humans alone? Water is essential to life—whether it’s a life of human beings, plants, and animals. However, unlike us, our pets, such as our dogs, cannot really judge what type of water would be best for them. Worse, they are dependent on their owners when it comes to their water supply.

Usually, owners would provide water to them only after every meal. If they are thirsty and they won’t be able to obtain the water they need, the pets would resort to other tactics, such as getting water from the faucet, puddle, or, worse, from the toilet bowl.

You have to remember that water is also essential to the bodily functions of your pet. Like us, their bodies are also made up of huge amounts of water. If they cannot maintain such level, they would be dehydrated and eventually die. Water can also prevent the occurrence of certain diseases such as urinary tract infection.

Get a Dog Fountain

Fortunately, you already have a way of getting not just enough water but also a good-quality one straight from a dog fountain. It is a device that generates water for your pet to drink on his own.

There are also a lot of things that you can look forward to with the dog fountain. For one, it adds enough oxygen into the water. This is necessary since oxygen is important for the body cells to function properly. Moreover, the fountain also contains not just one but two filters that you can easily replace.

The filters will act just like the usual ones you see in your water reservoir: get rid of whatever contaminants that are found in your water. Sometimes the water supply provided in homes doesn’t really guarantee clean and safe drinking water. It is thus fundamental that there is a way of containing substances that could make dogs unhealthy. These include sediments or stones. These are also other dog fountains that have charcoal filters, which are the more efficient types of filters available in the market.

The filters, furthermore, can greatly improve the physical properties of the water. This means that the water would be very clean to look at. It will also be devoid of any after-taste or odor that would perhaps discourage your dog from drinking it.

An average dog fountain can hold as much as 50 ounces of clean water. If it runs out, the device has the ability to simply refill the bowl. The reservoir is also made transparent, so it would be easy for you to monitor the level of water. You can also switch the system off and on, using the device only when you would be out of the house or you won’t have time to give constant water to your pet.

Also, to ensure that the pet fountain doesn’t end up skidding over the floor or be dragged somewhere else by your dog, the base is made of rubber.

And if these weren’t enough, the dog fountain is not just for pooches alone. It can also be used by your other pets such as your cats.
