The Garmin Nuvi 860T is the best time for the sat nav we've tested. It is easy to use and offers powerful performance in all areas of assessment.
It is easy to install and program the simplest of all - our testers found the speech very accommodating and helpful. All programming can use this function without having to touch the screen at all.

It comes equipped with maps for Europe for 35 countries. Routing accuracy is excellent and the traffic management system provides good information, with an estimated delay times. If you are wrong turn, re-routing calculations are fast and accurate.

Other powerful features include the ability to save 'favourite' locations, either in planning or saving "current position".

The display is a fairly large (109mm) widescreen format, which is provides good and clear pictures, but not as good as some smaller monitors for storage. That is, it can still be in bigger bags.

It shows a split screen when approaching a turn, with a schematic view of the intersection and show a countdown to the next intersection to the route. We also like the feature Panoramio, the photos and location information about 'favourites’ or places of interest.

The navigation system has first-class voice recognition, programming very easy, very easy to change routes.

This advanced navigator features speech recognition (SR), a widescreen display, preloaded maps, hands-free calling, traffic alerts, an FM transmitter and more. Like the rest of the wide nüvi 800-series, just speak a menu option and nüvi obeys your command.

Garmin nüvi 860 not only tells you where to turn but listens to your voice commands. With innovative nuvi speech recognition, you safely control nüvi interface with your voice - and both hands on the steering wheel. Just press the button on the remote control (on steering wheel) to activate measures, speech and speak from the Options menu. The nüvi even recognizes shortcut phrases for popular functions. Find Cheap tell nüvi "Address" and speak an address to start navigating.

With the nüvi 860's widescreen display, you are always the big picture. View map, driving directions, photos and more in bright, vivid colours. The sunlight-readable 4.3-inch display is easy to read - from any direction.

Garmin nüvi 860 ready to come straight out of the box with preloaded City Navigator ® NT street maps and millions of points of interest (POIs) such as hotels, restaurants, gas stations, ATMs and walk more. Speak a menu option or touch the colour screen to enter a destination, and nüvi takes you there with 2-D or 3-D maps and turn-by-turn voice directions. There is also the name of exits and streets so you never take your eyes off the road. In addition, nüvi 860 accepts custom POIs, such as a school zones and safety cameras and lets you get close to warning of POIs.

Keep yourself and your car with nuvi 860th Just to speak or tap "Where Am I?" to the nearest hospitals, police stations, fuel stations, nearest address and intersection. See also the exact latitude and longitude coordinates. The nüvi 860 even remembers where you parked. It automatically marks your position when you remove it from the windshield mount, so you can navigate with nüvi on foot and find your way back to the vehicle. Perfect for unfamiliar spots and crowded like many amusement parks, stadiums and shopping centres.

Garmin nuvi 860T includes advanced navigational features to take the worry out of travelling. With the route planner you can store 10 routes, specify via points and preview simulated turns on the 860's wide screen save. In addition, the device automatically sorts multiple destinations to the nüvi 860 is an efficient way for errands, deliveries or sales calls. It also shows speed limits for highways and Interstates. A trip LOG provides electronic bread crumbs range of up to 10,000 points, so you can see where you've been on the map.

Talk about worry-free driving. The nüvi 860 integrates Bluetooth wireless technology with a built-in microphone and speaker for hands-free. Just pair it to a compatible Bluetooth phone and hands free operation over the 860.Simply speak or dial numbers with nuvi touch screen keypad to make a call.

For the features it offers, this is a bargain. I liked everything about the device and the website is very easy to use for map / software updates. Internet access required for download 'Show updates' and the speed camera study. The map update is a plus 3GB download. It should also be considered, the Garmin friction than fitting it to the windshield.
