Nowadays, the need to prevent your dog from running around possibly causing damage to other people’s property has become a concern to a lot of animal owners. The problem is that getting a leash may only strain the neck of your pet. Having a fence is also not a guarantee that your dog will stay since he can easily dig his way out or jump over. Luckily, a better alternative is available: the wireless electric dog fence. With the wireless electric dog fence, you can slowly reduce the need for the leash while enjoy other benefits of the system.

It creates an invisible wall. One major benefit is that no physical wall needs to be erected just to keep your dog. This is because the boundary is generated through radio signals. The receiver that your dog wears in the neck detects the signal. If the dog walks outside the boundary, the receiver will sound the alarm and delivers a static correction to the dog.

Installation is very quick. Since the radio signals are used to create the invisible wall, the installation does not require much effort. All you have to do is look for a suitable spot in your house to place the transmitter. Make sure that the spot does not contain large metal objects that may distract the signals. After that, the flags are planted on the ground using the receiver. From start to finish, you can build the invisible fence in less than two hours.

The system is safe. The purpose of the mild static correction is not to punish but to catch the dog’s attention. Though your pet will feel a certain discomfort from the static, the correction level can be adjusted depending on the dog’s size and his behavior. The correction is completely safe and does not cause any long-term effects to the dog. Also, only dogs that are nine pounds and over are permitted to wear the receivers and only if they can be easily trained.

It works with any area. The radio signal in the transmitter can easily be adjusted using only two switches. At the lowest setting, it creates a circular area that is 10 feet from one end to another. The maximum space it can cover is a circle that is 180 feet wide. As your dog becomes better in his training, the owner can increase his play area as a reward. Even if the radio signal jumps beyond your property, your dog will still not cross since you can lay down boundary flags to warn him.

It is portable. If you have been unable to bring you dog outdoors before, now you can. The transmitter is actually very small and light that it can be brought anywhere. This means you can create a smaller invisible wall in the park or in the camping grounds. The power it needs can be supplied by your car or RV. This way, your dog can go together with you in many adventures without you having to worry about him wandering off and getting lost.
