Starting an e-business is the fastest and easiest way to get your foot in the online door. There are so many people achieving success at it, you would think everybody would want a taste. Since everyone isn't doing it, there's room for people like you!

The online business is not like any other business opportunity out there. If you want to invest for big money, you have to be high up in the corporate structure to receive the proper guidance, unless you want to take the long route and run trial and error for years.

You could start a billion dollar corporation from scratch. Ok sorry, i'll be more realistic.

You could open a store in your neighborhood. If you've got capital, that's great! The rest of us would have to take out a loan, $30,000 or $40,000 by most estimates. You pay for warehousing for your product, the storefront itself, heating and air for the place, labor, product, etc.. If you've got the stomach for this, that's good. From a more pragmatic position, there's really no guarantee of success, long or short term. Even if you do succeed, it will take years or so to actually turn a profit. If that's worth it to you, then by all means do it, it's worked for many others.

If you're like the rest of us, who the heck has the time or resources? I don't want to sound too negative. Many great people have tried the methods above and prospered handsomely. I only want to offer an alternative.

The online business is a brilliant decision for the novice. Here's why:

1. You work your own hours. You no longer have to allow a company to call the shots regarding your good time. You alone dictate you working hours. If you want to get up at 11, that's your prerogative. Your family gets your time, not some corporation. If you want to work in the evening, that's ok too. You get the point, your time is your own.

2. You alone dictate the amount of money you make. Some online entrepreneuers are happy earning a tidy living with their e-business. Others stay as ambitious and motivated as possible to rake in as much cash as they can bring in. Either way is okay. Bottom line, it's up to you. Your independence is a premium asset. Working your own online business can offer you that independence.

3. You work where you want to work. An internet business allows you liberty and freedom. Do you want to work in your home office? Fine. Do you want to work in the cafe down the street from your home? That's okay. Do you want to work at a cafe overlooking the Seine river in Paris? It's your choice. In fact, as you well know, your office can be wherever on earth there is an internet connection. It sounds just as liberating as it truly is.

I'll bet you can think of a billion or so more reasons to run a e-business. These are probably the only one's you'll ever need, but I encourage you to fill in the blanks. The more you visualize your dream, the more it becomes real to you. The realer it becomes, the more you activate your sub-conscience into acting on it's sole behalf. The power belongs to you.
