When planning a private party there are may considerations to take into account. As is with every aspect in life, if not manage correctly events are bound to end in failure. Its starts from setting the date, choosing the music and even deciding on a dress code. Preselecting your guests and ensuring that they will get along. It sounds complex but when tackled with the right attitude planning the “perfect” private party is no more then organization.

Selecting goals

Selecting goals entails asking yourself what type of party is it you’re planning to host. This will determine whether it is held during the week or weekend. Will it be a Friday pool party or Sunday lunch? How many people will be invited and how many will attend. What is the purpose of such a party and what is it you want to take out of the experience?

Budgets

Once you have selected your goals and determined your needs grab your husbands bank card! Before you start spending get an idea of what it will be that you might need and plan accordingly. If its a Sunday lunch for twelve people simple salads, great side dishes and some meat should do the trick. If you’re hosting a barbecue you can economize by asking friends to bring cool drinks or meat. You don't need a big budget to have a splendid party just shop around and be creative.

Catering

The food is simpler then people would like to think. Side dishes are easy to make and relatively cheaper then trying to plan four set dishes from which people will eat. One dirty trick is to over supply the amount of bread at the table thus filling up people quickly. With so many great recipes a finger click away you should be in the kitchen in no time cooking up a fest.

Set the tempo

Setting the mood will be the most important aspect of hosting a great party. Lighting and music will be the key here. The line between the two is so thin that getting it wrong will be routine until such a time that you can successfully negotiate your way through this sticky patch. Having the ability to change the music as the night goes on is vital to keeping up with guests and their mood. Ensure lighting is minimal but enough to see where people are walking and the music is always in the background.

Operation Clean-up

Whenever hosting a private party the most cumbersome task will be cleaning up. This if arranged before hand can be turned into a simple task. Ensuring through out the evening you are clearing up finished plates and glasses. Asking your children to help out to earn extra money is one way to solve the problem. Hiring a maid for the day is cost effective way in terms of time to clean up the mess left from the night before.

With a strategy forward you should be planning the perfect parties in the up coming weeks. Remember the golden rule it’s your party, so live large and have fun.
