There are many internet marketing techniques which you can use to generate traffic to your website. These traffic generation methods will not work effectively if you don't apply them to a marketing plan that you carry out daily. Spend 30 minutes every day, searching for directories, blogs and forums which you can post a link to your website. These websites must be related to your own website for maximum effect. The links need to have an anchor text with your keywords in them.

The more back links you build, the higher search engines will rank your website. Building back links takes time. Within a year, you will have lots of back links to your website and hopefully rank in the top 3 positions for your keywords.

5. Post to forums/blog commenting - 30 minutes

Go to forums and other people's blogs that are related to your market. Post meaningful comments with a link to your website. In time, you will gain trust from the community and they will visit your website. You are also killing two birds with one stone as you're building back links to your website during the process.

6. Monitor PPC campaigns - 30 minutes

Spend 30 minutes a day monitoring your pay per click campaigns and tweaking them. Many are afraid of using PPC because they try to master it in one session. Spend only 30 minutes a day and you'll be able to create a profitable PPC campaign which will give you sales and leads.

7. Networking / Friendly Chat 30 minutes

Spend the remaining 30 minutes networking with other business owners so that you can discuss ideas together and promote each other. They will also support you if you're doing a launch for a new product in the near future.

Relationships are very important. Don't neglect them. Saying 'hello' on Skype and asking them how they are doing is enough to maintain a good relationship with others.
