Getting a high ranking on the largest search engines namely MSN, Google and Yahoo will surely drive traffic to your website. You can get your website indexed for free or by paying some fees. The following are some pointers that you must follow.

How to submit your website on MSN search Engine?

Search for the submission page. Each search engines have a submission page. For MSN it is very easy and you can find it just by using the keyword “Submit MSN”. It is as easy as that and it’s free. Just submit your websites’ URL and in one to two weeks you will see your site on their search engines. How to get a high ranking in Google Search Engines?

Use the Google Sitemaps tool.

You can access the sitemaps for free. Using the sitemaps allows Google to have access to your website and include it in their search engines. Another way to get indexed by Google is by creating an account on blogger.com, which is a property of google. You can add links to your postings on blogger.com. In a day or two, google will trace the links you put in your blogger account and include them in their search engine.

How to out smart Yahoo’s paid submission for website ranking?

Yahoo is a company that charges website owners some fee for website traffic. However, submitting your website on Yahoo directory does not guarantee that you will get the high rankings that you want.

How can you get to Yahoo’s search engines without spending? Website owners have developed a technique to do this. They trade their website links to those websites that are already listed on Yahoo directory. Yahoo checks the links on the website and their search engine follows the link automatically giving you a chance to get a good ranking without even spending.

Yahoo made an alternative and offered a pay per click program, which is called “Site Match”. This program asks you to pay for each click to your website which will range from 15 cents to 30. However, you can also get your website indexed without even having to use Site Match. All you have to do is to turn your blog account that you made from Google’s Blogger.com into a news feed. Although it may sound difficult to do, it is not.

Here’s how to do it. First you have to add the website’s URL or your Blog’s URL to your Yahoo page which is associated in your free e-mail account. Click the ‘add content’ button from your Yahoo page and then add your URL. After pinging your site on Yahoo listings, Yahoo will then follow links for your site. Although this may not be as efficient as the pay per click method it will work.

Having your site indexed on these top 3 search engines is easy; you will just have to follow a few steps. As for the paid listings, it is up to you if you want to spend money for it or if you want to try the steps mentioned in this article.
