The government record everything in statistics but to get this information they have to get it from the public or independent research companies. Obesity statistics are currently getting the government all hot and bothered. Obesity statistics show that throughout the world, over 300 million adults are now obese; this does not include the figure for obese children, which are on the rise too. The government are now taking step to try to reduce the number of people who are obese. They are promoting healthy living through adverts on the television, radio and newspapers; they are highlighting the fact that people are unfit and lazy and need to do something about it!

Over 300 million adults world wide are grappling with the struggle of obesity these obesity statistics are absolutely shocking and not to mention that these figures don’t include children that are obese, these figures are also on the rise and are terrifying. If something isn’t done soon about obesity then the world will start to fall apart medically. People will be contracting illnesses left right and centre and there will be nothing that the government can do about it, medical supplies will be stretched and the cost of living will inevitably raise; it’s far too high as it is!

Type 2 diabetes, bowel cancer, high blood pressure and high cholesterol are just some of the things that happen to obese people. Other problems are excessive sweating, day to day problems such as bathing, walking and cleaning are all hindered by your size. One of the more serious problems that can affect you when you are obese is that your fat starts to put a lot of extra weight on your internal organs and they begin to fail.

These obesity statistics are at their highest and need to be lowered. If they aren’t lowered then the government will start to take more drastic measures such as banning sweets and takeaways. This will put many people’s noses out of joint but if it is the only way to save some people then it must be done.

Obesity statistics have never been this high and if something is not done then we are spiralling downward into a hell hole. People need to get a grip of themselves and have a good look in the mirror not only is obesity terribly dangerous but its not exactly the nicest of looks! When people start to loose weight they get a great feeling, loose weight and get this feeling for your self!
