Choose a web hosting service that gives you a step-by-step day-by-day action guide. One that shows you how to pick a topic, design, and write quality content for this web site that you know and are passionate about. How to get free traffic, quality links, your own e-zine, blog, and more.

Once you picked a topic and registered a domain name for your site. The domain name will be your site name. Just start writing what you already know about. Then copy and paste it into your web pages. Make sure you choose a web hosting service that automatically adds the HTML or any other code needed for your web pages. Check out the service and make sure they also allow advanced users to upload their own HTML. The reason for this is when you get advanced and want to be creative you can do so. Or if you’re already an expert you may want this option.

Simple right. Well it can be. What you’re looking for is a web hosting service that gives you real simple and easy to use templates. Templates that allow text, graphics, pictures, and links wherever you need them. Templates are designs you choose from that will be your web pages. The simpler and more basic the templates are the easier it will be to add your material. Also I’m convinced your visitors will like it better. Here’s the test to prove my theory. Whenever you surf the web for the next couple weeks think about which sites you leave and why. Now did you click out of the sites that were real congested with a lot of flashy banners and hard to navigate? Did you stay in the sites that were more basic, wide-open, easy to navigate, and read the content?

So you have your templates picked out and your content written. Copy and paste and your pages are done. Well with some web hosting services yes. This is where web hosting services matter. You want a web hosting service that analyzes your pages and tells you what you need to do to optimize it for the search engines. You are not looking to beat the search engines but just give them what they need to analyze your pages properly. More importantly you want to know if you’re doing something that the search engine will penalize you for. Search engines mean free traffic and you want all the free traffic you can get.

How many pages to build in a web site? That really depends on you. The main thing is when you get your web hosting service make sure they have unlimited pages and unlimited bandwidth. This will allow you to grow as big as you need to. My first web hosting service charged for the amount of pages and the amount of bandwidth. If you exceeded your bandwidth you got an additional bill. Too many people accessing your site can exceed your bandwidth. Don’t get the costly surprises. Plus you always want as much traffic as you can get. Not a limited amount of traffic.

OK. We have our site name (domain name). We built or pages, analyze them, and corrected them. Great were on a roll. But how will people find our sites out of the millions of sites out there. This is where you want a web hosting service that automatically submits your site. And every page you build as you build it to the search engines. I’ve done it before manually and it is real time consuming. You want to be building your site not wasting your time submitting to search engines. Let the web hosting service do that. You have other things to do.

Since you now have a web site up and running you might want to make a little income off of it. Ever see ads by Google on web sites. These web sites get paid to allow those ads to run on their sites. Some Web hosting services don’t allow any advertising but their own. You may not want to advertise but maybe later on you might want to. After all it wouldn’t hurt for your site to produce enough income to pay for itself. Then again this could be an opportunity to make additional income. Don’t find out like I did after you build your web site that you cannot have any advertisements on your site.

It all boils down to look for a web hosting service that gives you all the services and tools you need to build a successful traffic generating web site at an affordable price.
