The Traveler

Toronto, Ontario is Canada’s version of New York City, San Francisco and Chicago. The city features remarkable cultural and urban attractions and endeavors. While there you can visit the remarkable CN Tower which is not only an important telecommunications hub for Canada but it is also the tallest building the world. By going to the top of this building you can overlook the whole city in one breathtaking view. Next door to this building is the SkyDome where you can go to watch a Blue Jays game or take a guided tour if your aren’t there during baseball season.

Toronto also features the Royal Ontario Museum which is the largest museum in Canada. It features some of the most remarkable natural history exhibits and provides a great history of archeology. The Art Gallery of Ontario is also a one of a kind collection of both European and Canadian works.

If you walk down Queen Street West you can find a selection of unique and different stores as well as a large selection of ethnic restaurants. Nearby on Yorkville street you can find several small boutiques and the finer restaurants. Or you can head down to the Harbourfront are where you can find unique shops and restaurants that offer lovely views of Lake Ontario. Here you can take a ferry over to the Toronto Islands if you want to have a picnic or enjoy some outdoor recreation. If you are a family then Toronto is an excellent vacation destination since most of the attractions in this city are child centered. In addition the city is clean, safe and relatively easy to get around even for tourists.

Business travelers will also enjoy Toronto. Since the city has at least one hundred different languages and dialects most of the hotels in Toronto GTA area have a good knowledge of the international business scene. Many feature high speed wireless internet connections along with work spaces and business services. However, many are close to the tourist attractions so you can get out and enjoy the sites without having to go to far from your hotel room in case you need to return to work.

Many of the large chains also offer amenities that cater to the children such as milk and cookies, child sized bathrobes and day camps so the parents can enjoy some time out on the town by themselves.

For the romantic traveler there are several small boutique hotels in Toronto. Or you can choose from one of the many bed and breakfasts in the area. Most of the hotels in Toronto are within walking distance of some form of attraction and driving around the city is easy for those who want to rent a car. Or you can get a taxi and sit back and enjoy the sites as your travel around the city.
