A conventional car can run on grounds like roads and rough terrains. And it is going to be bizarre that cars can be used to travel on water. Impossible is it not? But, have you heard about the Land Rover Defender 90? Well, this Land Rover vehicle is a breakthrough. Why? A shocking revelation is just ahead of you.

The Land Rover Defender 90 is a particular model that can run on both land and on water. Impossible? Well, read on.

The Defender 90 is flat. And recently, it has undergone a journey of sixty miles on the waters of the Caledonian Canal. Yes, that is right. The Land Rover Defender 90 is capable of running on waters too.

Many people recognize it as an amphibian vehicle. The first Land Rover Defender 90 was created back in 1988. Back then, Land Rover was a sponsor to a festival of yachts called the Cowes Week. This particular car is the first car ever made that can be operated on both land and water. Because of its unique features, it became part of an exhibit for years in the Heritage Motor Center, a museum located in Warwickshire, United Kingdom.

Before it hit the road and water, it had to undergo several preparations to complete. These were all part of its restoration process that would enable it to complete its voyage. All the efforts and hard work paid off well. The voyage was a success. And recognition must be given to the staff from the Land Rover Company in United Kingdom who paid time and sweat for it.

A strong seal keeps the Land Rover mechanical engine parts from being destroyed underwater. The Land Rover Defender 90’s engine was also made to be waterproof so water cannot penetrate into it. It also uses large buoyancy drums for the vehicle to float on water. The doors are also sealed tight so the water will not get inside the interior. Imagine how magnificent this car is.

If you want to view its pictures, you can always log on to its official website. Or you can also try reading car journals and magazines for news and updates.
