"Oh! My god" you said to yourself after being told that your cholesterol level is high. Is there any way you could do to lower them? One definitely method is to alter your life style routine. Guess what; it is not easy to do than said but if you want to lower cholesterol in your body that the step you have to take. What does matter the most is the diet to lower cholesterol.

In lower cholesterol diet the most important factor is to eat foods that are either low in cholesterol or zero cholesterol foods. You can mainly find these types of foods in vegetables and fruits. Why is this so lower cholesterol or free cholesterol foods? It is because vegetables and fruits have very high fiber content; sort of like absorb similar to sponge and get rid out of the body. Increasing carbohydrates and fiber intake will help lower the risk of heart attack. Besides, it will prevent any colon related problem like colon cancer.

Fruits that high in fiber are pears, apples and oranges. This includes oats and carrots in vegetables group. For sample of rich complex carbohydrates consist of whole grains, potatoes and pasta. Eat fish regularly because it provides omega-3 fatty acids. In addition, it helps to trim down the blood lipid levels. Also avoid fast food restaurants preferably. Their foods mostly have high fat and sodium content which is not good for the body.

Samples of diet for lower cholesterol that are suggested includes eating breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Here are the following that you can adopt:

• Breakfast comprise of low-fat milk, high fiber breads, egg without the yolk and choices of cereals and fruits.

• Lunch includes sliced fruits, fresh salad, and vegetable soup. Dressing on the salad, can use olive oil and vinegar for the replacement.

• Dinner consist of brown rice, carrot, broccoli, lean meat or fish and whole grain toast.

• Snacks contain fruits and low fat yogurt.

For a more proper dieting plan for lower cholesterol, consult an expert in dieting or nutrition so that they can come up with sample diets that suit you.
