Advertising is a key component to any successful work from home venture. If you are going to open an auction store, eBay or otherwise, then you need to maintain a well-organized system to allow you to be as successful as possible. Organization is actually mission critical for any work from home business, but is particularly important for an auction store, eBay or otherwise.

If you intend to run an eBay work from home business, then there are plenty of things that you can do to maximize the impact that your listings have on potential bidders. Let’s take a moment to explore some things you can do to increase the success of your eBay work from business as a result of your listing advertisements. EBay tips for successful advertising include:

· Opt for a bold or box option (provided by eBay) to help you item stand out from other listings in the same category,

· If the item is of a significant value, then opt for the Featured Items listing, which has a revolving turn at being listed on eBays’ home page with other Featured Items,

· Use a descriptive heading that says exactly what the item is (never be ambiguous),

· Be clear in your description and use as few words as possible so that potential buyers don’t get bamboozled,

· Describe the item on a factual basis, providing information about its texture, size, condition, color and maker,

· Describe the benefits of the item to the potential bidder should they be successful so that they are drawn to buying your item as opposed to someone else’s item,

· Opt to link other items in your eBay store to this listing, so that potential bidders can click to the items that might well interest them in your eBay store,

· List items in your eBay store by category so that potential bidders can view all items that might interest them, with ease and won’t miss anything that might be of interest to them because either they cannot find it or they don’t know that it is not there,

· Be clear about your payment and feedback terms – people generally like to know payment terms and postage upfront and this generally encourages more bids on your items and of course it discourages any ambiguity so there can be no arguments after someone had become the successful bidder, and

· Wherever possible place one or two photos of your item within the listing so that potential bidders can see the item for themselves.

Using some eBay auction management software to help you list your items for sale from your eBay store can help to make your advertisements easier to produce. EBay offers Turbo Lister and other products to help you streamline your eBay store operation. Turbo Lister allows you to develop advertisements for each of your items and save them so that you can re-use the advertisements for other listings when you have similar items to list in the future.
